Mixed feelings

It's almost time to take the tree and the cards down :-(

I love my tree - all done in red and gold this year, and will be sad to take it down. That said, it will be nice to be able to get back into the cupboard under the stairs again, and not tell the cats off constantly for trying to play with the baubles.

A mixed time of year - sad that the Christmas season is over, celebrating the beginning of a new year, and all the promise that it holds.

I'm going to turn the fairy lights on for one last evening and enjoy the last of the festive atmosphere.
