Autumn Colour
Well not that much colour really.
This is currently hedgehog central, and any other wildlife that decides to pass through.
We have seen blackbirds, blue tits, frogs in the pond, cats and one evening recently a Canada goose that had some netting wrapped around it's wings.
On the hedgehog front, it turns out Hughie Dewie and Louie have another brother and sister.... yes the total is five from the same litter and thankfully they currently all have good appetites. their weights when we got them ranged from 86g to 101g. The last one Number 5 was in the worst shape. She had suffered a fly strike and her face was covered in fly eggs and maggots. Gill spent an hour scrapping eggs of her, a trip to the vets flushed out more from under her eyelids and out of her ears.
Three days later and she seems to be more comfortable.
Our next challenge is an African Pygmy hedgehog that is also albino.
