NHS DUCKS

Today was not a good day.
On Christmas Eve D tripped over a cable and fell into a kettle of boiling water.
The whole of her lower leg and foot was burnt.
This morning she had to go back to A&E for the dressing to be changed and the
blisters to be removed.
A very painful procedure.

Whilst this was being done, I stepped outside and to my slight surprise and welcome distraction, came across a duck pond in the hospital grounds.

I'm posting this with enough of a delay to report that D's leg is making a fantastic recovery. Thank God.
All the A&E staff we encountered during our various visits were wonderful.

Their professional expertise, care and advice couldn't be faulted.
