PEANUT SNACK

I sprinkled some peanuts on the back steps for the squirrels, and once in a while a blue jay will swoop in to steal one. While he’s busy eating his peanut, he’s guarding the rest of them as his very own.

I’ve been putting out extra seeds and peanuts for the birds and squirrels during this cold spell. I understand Monday will be the coldest so far with a high of -3 degrees F during the day (-18 wind chill), and even colder during the night with a potential wind chill factor of -30. Unbelievable!! I can’t remember when it’s been this cold for this long. For those of you who are having a mild winter, enjoy every minute. We can only hope our entire winter won’t be this harsh!
