Lady Elliot Island
Nikki and I left the wee man with Gooma today while we caught a quick flight over to Lady Elliot Island to spend a day exploring the Great Barrier Reef.
Formed over 3000 years ago, Lady Elliot island is apparently home to 88 species of birds, nesting sea turtles and a stunning underwater-world of coral formations and diverse marine life.
We snorkeled, swam, lounged and hiked around the island, catching a little too much sun along the way.
Meanwhile the wee man had a nice relaxing day with Gooma, Aunty Michelle and cousin Ori.
