Accomplishments and garage scents

Simple tasks were completed today. Christmas decorations are now in hiding for the next three seasons. I ask myself every year at this time...why don't I just bag up the tree like my father...ornaments and lights..and stick it in the garage. Dan said "because that's not you." And he's right.
Small acomplishments do give us peace. Whether it's carefully wrapping precious keepsakes, polishing something to give it the respect it deserves or just turning the lights out when we leave a room.
I cut an apple up for my nephew and he said he wanted the red part off. One day he will feel he has accomplished a small feat when he eats the peel...and likes it.
