Paul and Elaine came round and I did curries which went down well and the starter was bhajis which make a really nice meal on their own with a bit of yoghurt and a salad.

For years I have been trying to recreate the taste of the bhajis from Durga Sweets - with little or no success! They have been there for years and their food is brilliant. In the seventies when I used to go there they used to sell delicious curries as well as sweets and other delicious stuff. The sign used to read Durga Sweets of Ilford and Accra which tickled me. They include coriander leaves and crushed coriander seeds as well as onion and they are out of this world
