The Kanimbla
I hadn't taken any shots of the Kanimbla Valley for a while, so I headed out very late in the afternoon. Rather than go to the usual haunts, I headed out along Station St in Blackheath. At the end of the street, it becomes a dirt railway access road that is open to the public as far as just below the communication tower at Mt Boyce. I believe that there is a nice walking track from that point all the way through to Fairy Bower Reserve in Mount Victoria, but it was getting to late to think about doing it today, so I just stuck to views from key points along the railway access road.
Unfortunately smoke from bushfires over towards Oberon meant that the views of the Kanimbla Valley were big on atmosphere, but pretty poor on detail. It was either just give it a miss & head for home, or see what I could manage to extract from the view across the distant hills & ridges.
