"Bring me the big knife!"

Nah, what my husband actually said is "Bring me the tin of pears!"

Since the first time I visited his bachelor flat until today (a married man's lair), there has been a tin of pears living in the back of the fridge. Today, after finishing a breakfast of boiled egg & soldiers, he announced that TODAY we would eat the pears.
