This sunflower has had a rough ride. It was broken as a baby and had to grow its roots all over again. Been bent out of shape many a time due to heavy wind and falling over. A late developer anyway has meant that its missed out on the sunny days it derives its name from. With all this adversity its bloomed and its so uplifting to see the brilliant burst of yellow on these cloudy rainy days. I just love it.
A quiet day today after the late night last night. Pete euphoric from at last being able to see the Pixies live. Lots of bounding around the house from him today reliving the energy of the gig last night.
