Et des ombres équivoques.
2#. Alain Bashung - Tant de nuits.
They say Bashung is one of the best French poets of his generation, and I would agree with it. What a voice. To be fair I don't know him that much, he belongs to the category of singers that your parents love and that you spent years hating just because they would always listen to them during the family holiday trips. But now I feel like I should get to know his universe better. This song is from his very last album and reminds me of the only one I know by heart - La nuit je mens. And boy, no matters how many songs I discover, I will always consider that one as one of the best songs ever written.
Tant de nuits would mean So many nights. So here is a view from my window in Paris, if I lean out a bit to the left. There were so many nights where I just wanted to take a picture of the illuminated building and his friend the crane, always standing there, but I was never satisfied by the result. Now it looks much better. Thank you new lense, I love you.
