The Light Room

Water under the Bridge

An utterly grey day, but i'd completed a chore in the garden, and felt a need for further inhalation of fresh air. A familiar short route took me to Wicksteed's reserve, which to be honest was best left alone right now. The above is the river Ise that flows right through the reserve and it's the highest i've seen the river level for many years. This same river has all but cut off another part of the route where people have to walk single file to get through. Over the last year or so i've not really been best friends with my current bridge camera, so yesterday took the step of buying a used (excellent condition), entry-level DSLR, which I hope will be the catalyst for better, more creative shots in the future. I'd had some lenses sitting around for years which I can now use with this DSLR. Currently learning about the camera, though i've used SLR's before. It will be in action very soon!
