The show must go on

Not feeling too well, but today was an all day rehearsal for the show we are putting on in the village in March. Can you guess what it might be from these few props? I've applied a touch of nostalgia in my processing and the year might help you too. Authentic props would cost a fortune - apparently a helmet at £2000, but £3000 if there is a bullet hole in it!

Other clues are (i) Joan Littlewood and (ii) a play developed by an ensemble of actors.

I managed part of the day at the rehearsal, came home for a long lunch break and then returned. I stayed too long but we have only 6 rehearsals so I didn't want to miss anything if at all possible. It's great fun.
