Tree bark

Travelled down to the Scottish Borders today, often referred to as 'God's own country', but wasn't able to stop at any appropriate moment to take any shots of the magnificent views and rolling landscapes.

This is the bark from a tree stump, safely stored for burning in my new firepit. The bark is so beautiful, however I just love the smell of burning wood! Weather permitting, plannning a garden clear-out this weekend and will be burning dead leaves and firewood.
