Clearing Up After The Storm

No surprise to say I've spent the last four or five days in bed.

Feeling considerably better although still struggling to eat the antibiotics and rest are finally working. Probably my worst fibro attack for a year. I think I will start to get back to normal now. Fingers crossed.

At least according to the news papers we were amongst the normal stay in New Year's Eve brigade. Good job we actually prefer staying in in New Year's Eve. Although a shame to have cancelled em n stu and cat and mick.

Well my first day of being properly up and dressed in the new year was celebrated by clearing up the storm damage we incurred Christmas Eve.

The fresh air smells beautiful.

After watching a week of news filled with people evacuating their homes due to flooding, we do feel quite lucky with the damage we have incurred.

It still is an all day job which to me felt like two and if quickly dawned on me it will be a while before my fitness gets back to what it was.

Husband always seems to do things so easily. He is so methodical and fast. Hopefully I've made a good contribution chopping into bags the ivy that has come down and deceptively weighs a ton. Sweeping the basement steps just about finished me off.

Husband has retrieved and stacked all the bricks. Having the wall repaired is going to be Another expense we could have done without. Still no one has been hurt and our home is intact so we should count our blessings today.

Well done packhorse husband. Satisfaction is clear patio shaped.

I will sleep well tonight.
