VERY GREEN

Our world was white and sparkly at dawn.
Seems worth mentioning,
because this year has been windy, wet
and generally very mild.
Oh its been cold on the beach
but mainly because of the wind chill.
Rather than the cold, hard, sharp, still air
we expect at this time of year in the North East.
The morning was very pleasant although cold.
The day gradually became grey
and by tea time the wind and rain was lashing us once again.
The fields are bright with new colour in the morning sunshine.
