Swing Bridge over the Ore River

16 members of the walking group drove to the Blue Pools at Makarora, and walked for 6 k's towards the Young River.  It was a beautiful walk through the rain forest, not too hot, not too cold, just right - except for the sandflies.  Obviously they hadn't eaten for a while, because they certainly zeroed in on us when we arrived at our lunch spot.  It was a short lunch break, then a leisurely walk back to the cars, an ice cream at Makaroa, and home safe and sound.
