New Year

I realised that I did actually take a photo on the first day of the year, right at the turn.

We sat on the cliff with a glass of whisky and watched other people's fireworks across the bay. Each burst was reflected on the water. It being fairly windless night the waves were very small and the water very still.

The lack of wind also meant that (from what I could see) the smoke from the fireworks lay low and unmoving over the area they were being set of from. Whilst this had no affect on our enjoyment, I fear it may have obscured the view for those for who they were meant. Hopefully not.
