The flightless goose..

..and Christine.

This Canada goose was born in the spring and has never flown..He has tried and tried. He calls folornly when the other geese fly over. Though to his delight they do come down and visit, and they feed on grass together and he can be part of the flock, for a while at least.
I joked with Christine.. 'was she fattening him up for Christmas dinner?'
'No, but I think the fox will have him.'
