Cat Pile

With colder temps on the way the cats are practicing piling up to keep warm.
Actually, this morning it was a tropical 43ºF above zero. falling all day as the Canadian Arctic air gets to us with wind chill of minus 29º F (-33ºC) tonight.
The cats have the right idea.
This morning the 2 feet of snow was melted from all night rain when I looked outside. So I can get out to fill the backyard feeders for those birds (mostly chickadees and Am. goldfinches) for them before it gets too cold.
We can expect more snow by the weekend.
Hope everyone is weathering the floods, rains, snows, whatever... except RosAus who is actually complaining about the heat.
