Big Green Fly

The weather has finally turned nasty! At 1.30pm we hit 39c which was definitely a slight shock to the system! Tomorrow will be cooler but by the end of the week we'll be up into the 40's ... I guess it had to happen...!!!

As a consequence I didn't move out of the apartment all day! Late in the afternoon I went out to water the plants on the rooftop garden and spotted this lovely big green fly.

I think he was a bit stunned by the heat because amazingly he hung in and kept very still while I poked my macro lens up very close to him!
