New Monument.
When we went to the Parc Slip memorial service in August, the Mayoress told me that they were erecting a new memorial in Kenfig Hill. We have been down a few times to see if it had been finished, but the last time we looked, it was under wraps. We went down today to have another look and at last it has been completed. The memorial is of a tram that was used underground to carry the coal. My great-grandfather who was killed in the Parc Slip disaster was a trammer. I think that they have done a good job with this memorial.
Today is J's birthday . I won't tell you how old he is, but he is wearing well. We had a few visitors this morning and then we went out to order some new blinds for the bedrooms. We then went to Waitrose in Cowbridge, and bought a Chinese meal for tonight. We had coffee there, and then back to take this blip.
