Drifters
There are plenty of stories of schooners in the Seychelles that due to misfortune such as engine failure or broken anchors drift out across the vastness of the Indian Ocean and often found months later with one or no survivor. The most famous is a small schooner in 1953 that broke its anchor in a storm just off the main island and drifted for 75 days across 1500 miles. Only 2 survived out of the 6 on the boat.
