The Wizards Beach

We call it the Wizards Beach. It's a wee cove past Ettrick Bay. The first time we walked that way there was a wind torn black bin bag caught up high in the branches of one of the tree. My daughter found an gnarled driftwood stick. The wind drove the waves through small crevices and the jangle of limpet shells dangling from a low branch all added to the magic atmosphere.
We told the story of the sea wizard who came across the witches coven and used his wand to drive them away. One of the witches lost her cape as she flew over the high branches of the tree. And the limpet wind chimes are there to keep them away so we can all enjoy the cove.
It's just a wee magic place to be in any weather.
