A Lovely Bunch

While Matt was at Scout Camp today, the rest of us went to the open day at Aikengall Community Windfarm.

A strange idea for a day out, but a lot of fun. As well as a bouncy castle, stalls and sideshows (Andy did well on the coconut shy) there were guided tours of the wind farm itself.

On the tour we went on, the guy took us into one of the turbines, which was fascinating and very cool. Up close, the scale of it was incredible.
