Some days, you just have to sit back, take a deep breath, do some planning, tidy up, get organised. That's how it was today. Didn't succeed too much, but did manage to write 2 letters, so that meant a stroll to the post office. Then I walked the long way home.

And found the Novo Jewish cemetery. Queen Mary, London University campus took up land at the cemetery on which to expand - many of the burials were moved to Brentwood. But the remaining burials now lie centrally in the campus, extraordinary to see. An amazing link to the history of the area and some of the original immigrants to arrive here. Struck up a conversation with a man who said he was a student there in the 70s, and wasn't even aware of the cemetery. He was as surprised as I was, to see it.
