It's a sure sign of true immaturity that two people with reasonably responsible jobs refuse to acknowledge the reality of work and the end of the holiday and just stay up watching TV and blethering. But we must have been reasonably well rested because I didn't fall asleep at my desk, although I did catch a wee snooze on the train but not to the extent of sleeping past Inverkeithing or anything.
A real mood of general torpor in the office - two weeks off seems to have knocked the stuffing out of everyone. My excitement was to draw a badger from memory and then check a photo and find that it wasn't too bad. Odd to wonder what a badger's ears look like.
But actually, more exciting was coming across these great little stories by James Robertson - each is 365 words and he's going to write one a day for a year. And here's me struggling to take any photo never mind one that's in focus.
