Peace

Today I'm grateful just to have my own little corner of the universe. When I went away to college in the fall, everything started to move so fast. I got a little lost in all of it. And as much as I absolutely love it, my break was much needed. Once christmas came and went and things started to slow down a little, I was able to slow down too. And I'm starting to realize how much I take this little space for granted. When I'm away at school, I love it. I have my own space, I make my own rules, and I have so much control over my life, that I sometimes forgot the things that I leave behind when I am away. This space is small. Its in a small shared room, in a small apartment, in a small house. It's messy, and all of my blankets and sheets and pillows and pillowcases are mismatched. But I love it. I love all my mismatched things, I love my tackboard and my spot by the window. I love my books that are all over the place, and I love the peace of mind I can have when I am in this space. So today, and every day, I am grateful for this space.
