A shady spot
The day started out a little overcast but while we made our way into town it was clearing up nicely. We walked quite a bit and I got some great photos of the locals and the shopping areas.
I took a little break under this banyan tree. It is an enormous tree! The leaves of the banyan tree are large and leathery and the tree produces figs which are popular with the birds.
We stopped and saw the church of Our Lady of Guadalupe that was built over several decades in pink rustic stone. We walked along the river where all the locals have their crafts for sale and had an authentic Mexican lunch complete with musical entertainment.
