Are you sitting comfortably ?

This was the opening line from one of my favorite shows when I was small - Jackanory . It was a kids tv show where famous actors would read a novel over a number of shows. It finished in 1996, which makes me sad as Wee B will never see it. As a child that loved books it was wonderful.

Wee B has a live of books and is never happier than when he has a large pile of books for mummy or daddy to read to him. His current favorite is The cat, the mouse and the runaway train. It's recommended for ages 3+ but B just loves it. We bought an outsized copy for him and he is now managing to be careful enough to turn the pages himself (it's paper pages and Wee B is not that delicate).

The other day when we had finished reading the books he had chosen he took his favorite one off to look at it himself. The wee boy is growing up
