Environmentally Friendly.

A bit of the old "blues".

It's funny how accurately this well timed event relates to my mood this afternoon. Dad was smashing through the cement on the house to recover the weather-boards underneath, and as he finished up I thought I might snap the mess before he cleaned (or not) up.

As I was finishing up, it occurred to me that the hammer, surrounded by dust and lumps of concrete expressed perfectly the feeling I was getting, looking ahead to tomorrow, the first day back at school.

Like a hammer smashing through a cement wall, emotions such as defiance and slow tiring of the body has risen, even after a three week holiday..

It's not the work I loathe, for I know that knowledge is a gift more spectacular than any other, but the environment. Think back to your high-school years, and perhaps you will know what I mean.
