I was so organised on the last day of term, gym kits, swimming kits, school lunch boxes, bags and shoes were washed and tidied away safely for the start of the new term.

I forgot about the latest couple of Scout badges.

My smug smile vanished as I hastily sewed them on while cooking tea.
