Drink Up!

This tree has been deemed special. Therefore it is the the place that Buddhist people in the neighborhood put out red Fanta, flowers, statues, and sometimes food for the spirits. Every week or two the drinks are replaced. The food usually gets picked at by birds, ants or dogs.

As I walk by this tree everyday, I am constantly reminded of the deep roots of Buddhism and spirit worship in Thailand.
