Toilet Houses!

This is the end wall of a row of old terrace houses in a small town nearby. Not often do you see a tiled brick wall.

As I was taking the shots a woman with a dog passed by and stopped to tell me that she has seen lots of people taking pics of this wall. She told me that the row is known locally as the 'Toilet Houses' due to the tiles.

She also said that the story about the tiles is because the builder was due to build a swimming pool, but ended up having to build some houses. I guess he must have already bought the tiles and thought he might as well use them!
