Water everywhere
The rain and the flooding does not seem to be abating. This morning we had thunder, lightning, and very heavy rain. And then some sunshine this afternoon, which took me by surprise after all that crazy weather this morning.
It took ages to take Thomas to school this morning as the High Street in the village was flooded again and cars were crawling through - luckily I have a high vehicle so was ok, but the water was over the door sill on normal cars. All the fields around are even more flooded, and this field looks like a lake.
I see the Chelsea players were at home training this morning and I am surprised their pitches have not been flooded as they are situated low down near the river in Cobham. Maybe with all their money they have super-fast-draining-pitches.
So, Thomas back at school today, one down, two more to go. The other two start tomorrow - although Luke had hockey all day today in this awful weather, and Adam had to go back for orchestra rehearsal - life is nearly back to normal, if only it would stop raining and stop flooding.
