Vintage Vehicles
Today was the Open Day of the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust. It took place at Bridgeton Bus Garage.
The trust was formed in 2002 and its aim is to promote the restoration, preservation and use of historic passenger carrying and commercial vehicles.
The huge garage was full of vehicles from both the recent and distant past. Names like Leyland, Bedford, Albion, Daimler, Alexanders brought back memories for the large crowd in attendance.
In the picture are left to right ? Albion Valliant CX39N, 1950; Maudslay Marathon III, 1949; AEC Reliance, Duple (Midland), 1961.
One of the attractions was a free regular bus service on a variety of vintage vehicles from the Garage to the Museum of Transport passing through the City centre.
