We went deep into the bowels of the earth using the new to us Line 9 of the Barcelona Metro to reach La Maquinista Shopping Centre which was the only place to get an appointment today in an Apple Store to replace my mini-iPad which went kaput during the night. Looks like the battery has given up the ghost. I'm told they will simply hand me a new replacement as the one I have is under guarantee, but I won't believe that until I see it! The appointment is in 20 minutes so all will be revealed soon!

UPDATE: It worked like a dream! Super service, fast and friendly. A brand new machine with a new guarantee of a year and everything restored from the cloud, including Dd on the desktop!
