Rupert

A pleasant day with Carl's family. His sister and her family were over from France to add to the Christmas atmosphere, and we were also joined by Carl's folks' new dog Rupert. He's a wire-haired terrier, a bit hyper, but very loveable.

We had the full traditional works for Christmas lunch, then retired to the living room for the exchange of gifts, childish excitement, chat and general relaxation. It was all very civilised and quite laid back.

Carl and I left around 9:00 pm and ended up in Carl's Kino watching his Christmas Blu-ray of Despicable Me 2 (great fun).

p.s. Rupert's present didn't survive very long. He chewed it and swung it around with great gusto until first an ear came off and then a leg. It used to be a chicken. Now it's an invalid.
