Abstract.

Missed tennis this morning as I'd committed myself to the annual New Year walk.

For a variety of reasons, numbers were a little down on previous years, but we took comfort in considering ourselves an elite!

The rain that had been forecast held off for much of the day; it was only in the last couple of miles that we got a bit wet. That said, the moors above Stalybridge (Staly Vegas to those who know!) were sodden and it'll take a while before the boots will be dried out.

Later that evening, the rain did materialise. Stupidly, I hadn't taken my camera on the walk and so I ended up taking this abstract through the car window.
