Bitter oranges

Some brightness in Athens. I noticed these on the way to the post office this morning. Dripping with luscious-looking oranges, these trees line some of the streets of this suburb. But actually they're bitter oranges, and usually end up rotting in the gutter. This is not a nation of marmalade makers!
