The view from my office

I was on three flights today - hard work. But it's worth it when you get to see the sun rising up over a layer of cloud at 3000 feet. Not a bad way to start the day!

Weather is the biggest factor in our lives flying up here in the Arctic circle. Here's nothing better than waking up, checking the weather and seeing that it's going to present no problems. Life is easy then. All you have to contend with is the aircraft, your co-pilot, Ops, the client, rig weather, ATC, radios, and fatigue. But at least the weather is good! We had strong winds to contend with, but the alternates were easy and that's the stressful bit.

Three flights with Mike O. Good fun, but we were tired by the last one and just glad to get home.

One more tomorrow...then homeward bound. Thank goodness.
