Not in Walford, but Bradford, where the Mitchell Brothers were key players in the wool industry a good century before the fictional duo. (A cultural reference which may not travel across the Atlantic.)

This gate is part of the remaining frontage of a much larger mill complex. It was an inquest into the the death from the "Woolsorter's Disease" - that it from Anthrax - of a Mitchell Brothers employee , that led to some improvements in working practices. The company was liquidated in the early 1930s.
