Gondola on Downtown Oakland's Salt Water Lake

The gondolas are from Venice and a ride cost $75 an hour. I used to work in the building to the right and watch them once in a while. First time I've seen one in over 10 years. Took a walk halfway round the 3 mile lake with a poet friend and was taking a break on a bench. I quick pulled my camera out and snapped a quick one before they passed us. The gondolier waved after I had snapped it. Champagne is served to the riders--a seat big enough for two. Romantic start to 2014!
