ice flowers

These ice crystal "flowers" have formed all over the frozen puddles on the farm. Temperatures were at -7 this morning, warming all the way up to 12 during the day. Lots of bitter wind - took Riley for a walk anyway, the only part of me that was exposed was my eyes. Tried sunglasses but they kept steaming up.

Riley of course found a patch of snow to roll around in - he doesn't seem to mind the temperatures, but we've been keeping him inside anyway.
