Pompom....

Tiny vibrant petals unfurling, tubular in shape until fully open. Three stages within one flower head, the Pompom varieties of the dahlia are always interesting.

Back to routine thought I'd better face the gym, lets just say I came away thinking:
Less wine
Less carbs
A lot less sugar
More protein AND
A lot more exercise!

Daughter E called in as she's back to work tomorrow. She made a banana breakfast loaf which looked divine! We walked round to mum's to admire her garden and have a chat before walking home again - getting some exercise in.

Otherwise just a home day catching up with a few house jobs.

Chicken kebabs cooked on the bbq tonight with stir fry veggies, and rice for hubby, no wine or carbs for me tonight.

Thanks for all of your encouraging words for yesterdays shot of the juvenile White-fronted tern, there maybe a few more birds featuring on my journal through the course of this year.
