fun with refraction ………..

ok here's the ingredients for this blip and thanks to the effect of REFRACTION you get the colour reversing, as the light passes through the water being a different medium:-

-> One camera and tripod
-> One wine glass about half full of water
-> Two sheets of different coloured paper (or i used coloured chopping boards)
-> One little torch

1. Position the coloured paper, flat against wall in the background overlapping each other
2. Position wine glass about 15/20 cm from paper
3. Position camera on tripod and frame up the glass
4. You need to move the wine glass slightly so that it is in the middle and you get the colour reversing through the water (refraction)
5. Switch the lights off, set shutter speed of about 8 or 10 sec and shine torch on the background only during the exposure
6. If you want perfection use photoshop to heal, clone areas where the wine glass is not perfectly made or torch reflections shining on glass but i prefer not too much tidy up
