Post-show analysis
Dissected last night's performance of The Lion King over ice cream and coffee.
It was a fantastic evening. The show was beyond amazing. Our seats were better than we'd dared hope. We did actually start the evening in the Director's Box after some crossed wires between me and the lovely Spanish usherette girl. I thought things didn't sound quite right when she started talking about the member of staff who was going to look after us for the evening. Things definitely didn't look right when we got in the box and saw the snacks and champagne flutes. Mum sat down and declared she wasn't moving but eventually lovely Spanish lass realised the mistake and took us down to our seats. They were even better than the Director's Box (but without the free snacks and bubbles). We could see the whole theatre which meant we got a fabulous view when the animals all traipsed up the aisles. We were also close enough to touch the guy who came out onto the balcony to kick off the show with a magnificent song (we didn't touch him, that would have put him off!)
It was a truly magical evening. Just ask my boys. They're still in shock from the surprise!
