Power
Woke this morning to another stunning day, and with only two of the 6 left form the boys weekend, we decided to relax ...
Woke up to the sun rising on the mountains from my bedroom window, a phone call back home at 8.30 to wish Hannah good luck for her first day of school, and then a read for an hour or so in bed. Bliss!
Then a bit of a house tidy up, and off to find a mountain bike ride.
As the wind had picked up we headed to Twizel and at the local DoC office we were pointed to a local ride, around "the Pyramid". A big hill. A nice leisurely 16km ride, in great conditions.
So why power lines rather than stunning scenery? Well, one of the guys on our boys weekend designs power lines, so I gained a new appreciated for high tension lines, and all things power. Sadly my high tension line shot didn't work out. I think I might need to check my 100-400 zoom, as the result was weird. So instead these very normal looking lines, in a stunning location.
Then home, back by 6. Great to see the kids and hear all the stories, including the big school adventure.
