Carlisle Cathedral

We had a rare day off today and took a trip to Carlisle to have a quick look around and do a little shopping. Before we did anything, a visit to Carlisle Cathedral was the order of the day from Linda. I was very impressed, possibly even more so than I was with Durham Cathedral. It has some quite spectacular stained glass, the largest of which is in the photograph with the main pulpit in the foreground. The ceiling is also totally amazing but I was in a quandary about which photo to blip and this won.
