Optimism

… is parking your bicycle (complete with large box on the back) upright, in amongst a row of 20 or 30 other bikes which had all been blown over in the GALE FORCE winds that are still howling around the city … (and yes my bike is somewhere in that row!)

Optimist: someone who figures that taking a step backward after taking a step forward is not a disaster, it's a cha-cha.
